Skylights
Skylight is removed, during tear-off, for easier access
Skylights are one of the most troublesome parts of roofing if they are not done correctly. These images show the care we take in assuring no water gets into your house.
This under layment is called 'Ice and Water Shield'. It is an adhesive membrane we install for added insurance.
We use new metal on all sylights upon roofing around them. This not only looks better, it will last as long as your roof will.
Chimneys and Flashing
A lot of the chimneys we come across are really old and close to falling apart. We dont just reuse the old metal and caulk around it, we remove it and replace it with brand new Flashings
Finished counter flashing. Under this is the same Ice and Water Shield used on skylights
We also take the time to refill in the grout missing around the chimney.
A clean site is a safe site
When we tear off the old roof, we throw the debris directly into the bin, not into your garden or yard.
New metal flashing
Not only do we use brand new metal flashing, we also use screws with a rubber washer instead of a nail with caulking.
Built-in gutter conversion
Built-in gutters can be converted into regular gutter systems. You can see, to the left, the large 2x12 fascia board before we cut it off. It is a tricky process, but done correctly, the end result is shown on the right.
